Manchester Christian Church located between Akron and Canton, Ohio is looking for a biblically-sound, experienced full-time senior pastor to lead our loving, active congregation. We are a non-denominational church that has been in existence for 170 years and is excited for the future. We are strong financially and have outstanding venues to help further God’s kingdom here on earth. These venues include a sanctuary that seats up to 200 people, a fellowship hall with a kitchen, a Pre-school, a family life center with sport court, and a large pavilion.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with spiritual maturity reflecting the characteristics of Christ. He will be both a preacher and teacher, provide biblical guidance for daily living, be a spiritual leader overseeing multiple ministries of all ages, and be involved in the spiritual development of our church community. He must agree with our doctrine and beliefs statement and make a long-term commitment to grow and revitalize the church.

 

A starting yearly salary range begins at $55,000 with additional perks and flexibility.

Ways You Can Serve at MCC

The Bible tells us that each one of us is equipped with unique passions and abilities in order to serve God and others.

 

Listed below are ways you can help the church thrive or help those in our community. Some opportunities are occasional and others require more commitment, while some roles require as little as 20 minutes. Most are scheduled on a weekly, monthly, or seasonal rotation. We encourage you to try something new and if you’re unsure, we’ll be happy to help you find the perfect fit for your interests and availability.

Life Group Leaders: Small groups are a vital way to grow in faith and fellowship. If you are interested in starting a group, we would love to talk with you.

 

MCC Food Pantry: Help with the collection or distribution of food & personal products as needed.

Sound Board: Help run a mixer board, sound equipment, recording software, or help display slides during services. Will train.

 

Worship Team: We are always looking for those with a God-given talent, vocally or instrumentally. Opportunities for both services.

Prayer Ministry: A powerful ministry dedicated to praying over special needs & requests as they arise.

Special Events:  Assists with fellowship dinners, special events, and banquets as needed.

Greeting:  Welcome guests at the door, hand out bulletins, and just be friendly.

 

Coffee Station:  Be willing to provide some pastries occasionally or help prepare the coffee/hot chocolate dispenser.

 

Communion Prep:  Prepare Communion bread & juice on trays for Sunday services.

 

Repairs/Indoor Maintenance: If you are experienced or skilled with repairs, we could use your help on an as-needed basis.

 

Grounds Maintenance: We always appreciate help with mowing, painting, snow shoveling, weeding, mulching, etc.

Children and Student Ministries: Caring volunteers help our youth grow in their faith and love for Christ. Help children from birth (Nursery) through middle school (iKidz). Background check required.
